TSO Christmas Campaign

CHALLENGE
Haft2 was charged with reimagining the TSO Christmas campaign and increasing ticket sales for Handel’s Messiah, a time-honoured tradition each holiday season.

SOLUTION
An integrated, multimedia campaign was created using illustrated artwork for the first time in TSO history, which evoked enchantment and served to restore the magic of the season. Many unique media vehicles were employed, including bus wraps, inserts into top print publications, and an online 15-second video.

RESULTS
Ticket sales to Messiah were the highest ever, with 12 consecutive sold out shows as opposed to two the previous year.


Our approach of using light, upbeat colours was something unexpected for the marketing of Handel’s Messiah. The mix of bright hues with warm accents communicated the musical tradition in a fresh, modern way.
