Web Design & Development
With over 200 patient advocacy partner organizations, the World Ovarian Cancer Coalition needed to move from beyond a simple directory to offer more information and details about each organization. They also needed to feature and recognize partners and provide social media and research resources. As a long-time (over 10 years) supporter and agency partner, Haft2 was engaged to create a solution.
Solution
With the technical requirements and specificity of the content for partners, Haft2 identified that a microsite of the main Coalition website was the best solution. Built on the WordPress platform, the Partner site aligns with the main website and Coalition brand identity for a seamless transition. The site also provides an extensive directory of organizations that can be searched by country and/or by activities the organization supports.
Each organization profile contains contact details, social channels and links to the website, tags for all activities offered and space to add video, reports and other information relevant to the organization – allowing partner organizations to showcase their work. Additionally, the site also has a resource library that includes the most recent reports, briefs, recordings, and social media assets. The new website is fully accessible and meets/exceeds all WCAG-2 standards. Key features of the new site include an interactive map built with a Google plugin – giving the opportunity for users to click on a country to see specific data – a dedicated Partner scroll bar, advanced search bar, interactive membership form and multilanguage translation feature.
Results
Launched in summer 2022, the Coalition member website has had a significant increase in traffic from the previous partner pages, with traffic referring back to the main World Ovarian Cancer Coalition website, (also Haft2’s creation) increasing as well.
