Naming and Rebranding Initiative
Haft2’s work with Canadian Feed The Children (CFTC) began in 2021, when we led the renaming strategy for the organization. After officially changing the organization’s name to Kinvia, to reflect their next chapter, we embarked on bringing the new Kinvia brand to life. This included developing their new logo, visual brand language, brand architecture for their many programs and country offices, in-depth brand voice guidelines, launch video and many other assets.

Solution
Following a strategic collaboration to craft a brand manifesto for the future of the organization, Haft2 partnered with CFTC to lead a comprehensive naming process. With input from a team of expert namers, over 1,000 name options were generated. After thorough legal vetting and alignment with the organization’s long-term vision, the name Kinvia was selected—marking a bold step forward for the Canadian charity.
With the name approved, Haft2 designed a new logo that bridges Kinvia’s heritage with its future, as outlined in its 10-year strategic plan. The wordmark features carefully crafted typography with rounded edges to convey warmth and approachability, while the icon was developed with intention around its versatility and symbolism. To support the new identity, Haft2 created a vibrant visual language including a fresh colour palette, custom iconography, and graphic elements. A brand video, featuring footage from Kinvia’s programs, launched the new identity—visually reinforcing the organization’s ongoing mission to ensure food security in Canada, Bolivia, Ethiopia, Ghana, and Uganda.

Results
Launched in June 2025, Kinvia has been warmly received by internal teams, global partners, and its donor community. The organization has transitioned smoothly into its new name and brand identity, which now aligns more closely with its mission and strategic vision. With a renewed sense of purpose, Kinvia is well-positioned to lead the transformation of local food systems toward long-term sustainability.
