World Ovarian Cancer Day

May 8th is World Ovarian Cancer Day and Haft2 is proud to play a part in the 6th annual digital campaign to raise awareness of this often-fatal disease.

Ovarian Cancer is referred to as the “silent killer” and our 2018 campaign encourages women not to be silent, but to speak out and share the risk factors, signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer.  Our theme, “Your Voice has Power,” emphasizes how one conversation, one share or even one like on social media could save a woman’s life.

Check out the 2018 World Ovarian Cancer Day campaign on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and use your voice to help prevent ovarian cancer.

Opal Hair & Beauty

Haft2 likes to help businesses of all sizes differentiate their brand. When we were introduced to hair stylist April Maloney, we learned of her vision and aspirations for her hair and beauty salon.

Our designers created a new brand identity including a logo that reflects the style and sensibilities of the salon and a fresh colour palette.  A striking window cling for her shop and new business cards help position April’s salon as a cut above the rest.

FairSport

Haft2 was asked to create a brand identity and website for a new, independent foundation whose mission is to eradicate cheating in sport and support athletes who ‘blow the whistle’ on doping.  A clean, simple wordmark logo was created along with the tag line, “Champions of Clean Sport”.  The website was built with the highest levels of security to maintain anonymity of confidential sources.

The launch of FairSport was planned to coincide with the début of the documentary film Icaraus, a story that revealed the extent of doping by Russian athletes. Icaraus just won the Academy Award for best documentary and our clients, who were involved in the production of the film, were there to accept the award.

Colour News

On February 28, the Art of Colour Forecasting made the pages of The New York Times. The article gives us a glimpse of the colour forecasting process at world-famous Pantone and speaks to the history, evolution and power of the brand. It also attributes the release, in 1998, of Apple’s iMac G3 desktop computer as the start of a revolutionary shift in the use of colour in industrial design. Rounding out the article are insights from colour expert Leatrice Eiseman. Eiseman asserts that colours “exert powerful, often subliminal forces on the human mind.” She has developed a test, “Personal Colours: What Do They Say About You?” asserting that colour preferences are connected to specific personality types.
