Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope
The Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope is a series of events that takes place across Canada every year to raise awareness and funding to develop an early detection test for this devastating disease. The event had been called the ‘Winners’ Walk of Hope’ after the title sponsor, but the name had proven to be a barrier for procuring other corporate sponsors; a simplified name and
identity were needed.
We brought the name of the event back under the architecture of its parent organization, Ovarian
Cancer Canada and for identity inspiration, looked to the teal ribbon, long recognized as the symbol of awareness for the ovarian cancer cause. Marketing materials, a renewed visual identity and brand standards all now work in simple collaboration to promote this important cause.
As a direct result of our work, participation and revenue have increased, despite being held in a
time of economic uncertainty across much of the country. A renewed organizational energy and quest for an early detection test has emerged in the hopes of saving the estimated 3500 women that die of this devastating disease every year.
