Burger King recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Whopper with a new campaign entitled "Whopper Freakout". The documentary style spots were conceived by Miami ad heads Crispin, Porter + Bogusky and show BK customers being told that the Whopper has been discontinued. Customers' ensuing reactions clearly reflected the fear of TV viewers, who drove Whopper sales up by double digits over the previous year's sales.
